My graduate studies

Hello my dear readers! Today I will write about the graduate studie that I want I do.

Since before I started my studies in this career, I have always like orthodontics specialty because I attended many time to a clinic for a four-year treatment with brackets. I like the labor fiel of that specialty and I would like to study the related subjects but above all else, I would like to improve the smile of people and give them more confidence.

Although I still have time before graduating from the university, I always think about my future because I am very concerned for it. And even though I like to have it all figure out, the true that is I have don’t thought about it because I feel that all plans that I could make could be change in the future, but I currently want to continue my studies in that area.  The only thing I know for sure is that I will continue my studies in other country because I want to learn others thing apart from my career like a different culture and other language.

How I would like to study abroad? Well, I would like to attend to face-to-face classes because I would like to meet people from other countries. I would like to make contacts so it makes easier to practice my postgrade.

My future job

Hello everyone. Today I will write about my future job.

As I said in my previous post, I am currently studying dentistry at Universidad de Chile, so I clearly imagine me working in dental clinic attending to many people. However, I would sincerely like to have a job related to scientific research because I want to improve people's quality of life.

Health sciences requires researches to study the mechanisms by which diseases occur, and the means to combat or prevent them. The health research is important because it can provide important information about disease trends, risk factors and outcomes of treatment.

How I wish to focus on the research area, I would like to continue my studies doing a doctorate in dental sciences. However, since English is very important for all sciences, I want to do it in a country where I can improve my English skills and that also allows me to have the possibility of working outside Chile.

Do I want to have a great salary in the future? The truth is that I am really not interested in earning a lot of money. I just want to have a salary that allow me to have all my basic needs and that I can to live without worries.

Why did I choose this career?

The truth is that odontology wasn’t my first option.

When I was younger I like biology’s class in the school and I really loved to watch many health’s programs on TV, so since then I thought to enter to career related to health. To be honest, I never considered studying odontology, at this time I considered only studying medicine or nursing.

But strangely at the end, one week before of applying, I got interested in odontology because I realized that I always liked to going to the dentist when I had orthodontic bracket.

Now that I’m studying odontology, I can only say that I’m not sorry because despite everything I love my career and I enjoy study for all my subject. Although there are some subjects that are very difficult to me I work hard every day to learn all. Also I can say that I met wonderful people here and I have had a lot of fun with my friends. I just hope that in the future I can study a specialty outside the country, to be able to find a job and most importantly just be happy.

My Favorite Movie Director: Hayao Miyazaki

Today I will talk about the movie director that I like the most, Hayao Miyazaki.

Hayao is a Japanese screenwriter and director who is recognized worldwide as one of the greatest animation filmmakers. He is co-founder of Studio Ghibli, the best film and animation studio I’ve known.

He directed multiple films with Studio Ghibli like Castle in the Sky and My Neighbor Totoro. I think I was 10 when I saw a movie directed by Hayao for the first time, although at that time I didn't like them as much as now. I can currently say that I have lost count of how many times I have watched each movie.

I love the movies that Hayao Miyazaki directs because they all have beautiful animations, I love the landscapes he draws on them. The growth of the characters he creates always excites me. I also love the soundtrack he chooses because with it each movie becomes a perfect combination of music and animation.

Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite movie of him. It is about a love story between a woman cursed by a witch named Sophie and a wizard named Howl.

My best holiday I´ve had

Last summer, I traveled to Puerto Natales with my mom to visit to my sister who lives there. We went to this city in the hottest two weeks of February because we wanted to escape of Santiago’s climate.

In those days, we visited many places known for be touristic center like to Natural Monument ‘The MylodonCave’ and the ‘Grey Glacier’. We also went to a small hamlet southeast of Torres del Paine National Park called ‘Cerro Castillo’ where my sister worked in an educational project of municipality as occupational therapist.

I can say that ‘Torres del Paine National Park’ is the best place that I visited in my last holidays. The landscapes are very beautiful and the tranquility that this site offers is stunning.

This summer is my best holiday I´ve had because I love all moment that I spend with my family in this trip. I feel that after that now I am closer related with my mom in terms of knowing each other.

I really hope to return someday.

A country I would like to visit

Hello everyone, it is my first post for this second semester and I would to like write to them about a country I would like to visit.

Japan is an island of East Asia located in the Pacific Ocean. This country is popularly for its computer animation known as anime. The reason why I would like to go there is because I always like its culture and typical food.

When I can go I would like to visit the Tokyo’s most famous landmark called “Imperial Tokyo” and “Hiroshima Peace Memorial” that is a tribute to the lives lost when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

My dream is travel to Japan in spring because I really would like to walk under the cherry blossom tree.

I would just like to study in this country because I want to learn the local language. I couldn’t live in Japan because the culture of this place is very different to my natal country.
